Palestinian singer Mohammad Assaf released his 10-track album Ma Wahashnak via online streaming service Anghami on Tuesday (June 27).
The lead single came out in March and has racked up over 4.5 million views on YouTube.
Assaf’s album boldly mixes genres, occasionally blending Middle Eastern melodies and vocal styles with electronic, Latin and acoustic influences. The album wraps up with a more traditional, patriotic anthem, “Ala Hadhihi Al Ard,” sung in formal Arabic.
Ma Wahashnak also includes an upbeat collaboration with French-Algerian singer Faudel titled “Rani,” which is due for a music video in the near future.
Twenty-seven-year-old Assaf is known for winning talent competition Arab Idol in 2013. He released his self-titled album in 2015.
