We have seen some industrial wedding themes in 2017, and it looks like we will be seeing more industrial weddings in 2018, as more and more young couples are loving the idea of choosing revamped lofts or warehouses as their wedding venue.

Creating an industrial wedding theme can be tricky; it needs a lot of creativity in blending different styles while adding a chic touch to a minimal theme. This is a fabulous theme for city weddings in particular.

What’s beautiful about an industrial themed wedding is that you can literally mix and match shining metals with gorgeous stone, then add some sparkle and elegance and bring in different textures to make your wedding decor pop. From getting married in a warehouse to decorating your wedding with mixed metals, the industrial theme is becoming a favorite due to its versatility and minimalistic chic feel.

The Wedding Haven, a destination wedding planning company based in Dubai, created this unique industrial wedding theme photo shoot with the help of La Ville Hotel Suites in Dubai, and other collaborators. Bare brick walls, peeled off paint, metal tubes and pipes, screws and bolts create the base that you need to pull off such a wedding theme – think old, and rusty.

Founder and lead planner at The Wedding Haven, May Abu Jaber-Halasa says: “The inspiration was to create something visually new and unexpected … a soft look where the couple’s connection draws the viewer into their story through dream-like images”.

Here is a closer look at this industrial themed wedding, planned and styled by The Wedding Haven:

Lighting: When it comes to lighting, for an industrial-styled wedding, less is more. A simple string of lights, hanging candles, or pillar candles on the the floor create the perfect balance of romance and minimalism without going overboard. The Wedding Haven team particularly prefers hanging the lights and candles from the ceiling.

Flowers: To add a pop of color, Blossom Tree Dubai created stunning bright flower arrangements. It is crucial to balance out the bare industrial space with fresh and colorful elements, and what better way to do that with flowers? No matter what colors you choose, they are bound to pop as you are surrounded by dull industrial colors. So whether you choose classic white, or an adventurous red, the flowers will be the center of attention.

Tables: The tables are covered with flowing white table covers, topped with bright colored flowers, copper tubes, bulbs, wooden place mats, and that purple single orchid on guests’ show plates. The beautiful table runners were offered by Table Tops Events, and the embroidered napkins by Loula Favors.
